Pricing and financing period for Agri Buyer Financing
Know how charges are calculated, with worked examples
Agri Buyer Financing uses a daily markup. The total cost depends on which repayment period you choose.
Available periods
When you submit your Funds Request, you choose between four periods: 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, or 28 days.
The daily markup
The markup is 0.23% per day for all periods.
Total markup by period
7 days: total markup is 1.61%
14 days: total markup is 3.22%
21 days: total markup is 4.83%
28 days: total markup is 6.44%
Worked example for 7 days
Say you draw KES 500,000 for 7 days. The total markup is 1.61%, which is KES 8,050. You repay KES 508,050 at the end of the 7 days.
Worked example for 14 days
Say you draw KES 500,000 for 14 days. The total markup is 3.22%, which is KES 16,100. You repay KES 516,100 at the end of the 14 days.
Worked example for 28 days
Say you draw KES 500,000 for 28 days. The total markup is 6.44%, which is KES 32,200. You repay KES 532,200 at the end of the 28 days.
How to choose the right period
Pick the shortest period that fits your cash flow. If you expect to have the cash back in 7 days, choose 7 days. Choosing a longer period than you need means paying more markup.
