How repayment works for Agri Buyer Financing
See how you repay Avenews when the period ends
Repayment for Agri Buyer Financing depends on the installments you were approved for. You repay Avenews directly.
How it works
For the 1-installment option, you repay the full amount due on the day you choose, any time between day 7 and day 30
You repay the principal you drew, plus the markup
You repay in 1, 2, or 3 installments, depending on what you were approved for (2 installments fall on day 30 and day 60; 3 installments on day 30, day 60, and day 90)
You repay Avenews directly through the channels we provide, and any rewards you have earned are applied automatically to reduce your markup
When repayment is due
For 1 installment, your repayment date is the disbursement date plus the number of days you chose (between 7 and 30). If we sent the money on 1 March and you chose 14 days, your repayment is due on 15 March. For 2 or 3 installments, repayments fall on day 30, day 60, and (for 3 installments) day 90.
Worked example
Drew: KES 500,000
Structure: 2 installments over 60 days
Markup: KES 63,000
Total repayment: KES 563,000, paid in two equal installments of KES 281,500
What happens after repayment
Once you repay in full, your limit is restored. You can submit your next Funds Request whenever you have your next supplier invoice.
What if you cannot repay on time
If you think you may be late, please contact us as early as possible. We would rather work with you than have your account become overdue. See the Repayment articles for the late repayment terms.
