The Head of Sales will own Avenews’ national revenue targets, drive usage, lead partner commercialization, and build a high-performance national sales force. This role provides strategic, operational, and people leadership across all hubs and regions, ensuring disciplined sales execution, strong governance, and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
● Lead and execute Avenews’ national sales strategy and revenue plan.
● Build and manage a high-performance field sales organization across hubs.
● Strengthen commercialization of cooperatives, agro-dealers, aggregators, processors, and other agri-partners.
● Ensure sales governance, process discipline, and quality control in all regions.
● Drive territory design, market penetration strategies, and partner engagement.
● Collaborate closely with Business Development, Marketing, Customer Operations, and Product/Tech to deliver seamless partner success.
● Optimize deployment of sales resources and manage national sales budgets.
● Lead rollout and adoption of new products and features.
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Agribusiness or related field.
● 7+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally in microfinance, digital lending, FMCG distribution, or agribusiness.
● Proven success leading large, decentralized field teams.
● Strong command of analytics, forecasting, and CRM systems.
● Excellent communication, leadership presence, and commercial acumen.
