I supply Brookside Dairy and I'm waiting to be paid. Can I get financing against my invoice?
Yes. If you are a registered business supplying Brookside Dairy, Avenews can advance up to 85% of the value of your verified Brookside Dairy invoice so you don't have to wait for the payment term to elapse. The most common route for suppliers to non-partner buyers is Agri Supplier Financing Express (ASFX), where the buyer is not involved at all.
Which suppliers to Brookside Dairy can be financed?
Financing is for businesses supplying products that are part of the agricultural value chain. This includes raw milk and dairy supply from small and medium dairies, milk aggregators, and distributors, as well as other agricultural inputs a supplier provides, such as fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, grains, or flour. Suppliers of goods outside the agri-supply chain — for example machinery, spare parts, equipment, or vehicle and garage services — are not eligible.
Is Avenews financing for Brookside Dairy suppliers available outside Kenya?
No. Avenews operates only in Kenya. This financing is available exclusively to registered businesses supplying Brookside Dairy within Kenya. Suppliers operating in Uganda, Tanzania, or any other market are not eligible.
What financing options are available to a Brookside Dairy supplier?
There are two tracks. Agri Supplier Financing Express (ASFX) is a direct advance based on your invoice and trade data — Brookside Dairy is not part of the transaction, giving you a faster and fully independent process. Full Agri Supplier Financing (ASF) is also possible, but only if Brookside Dairy agrees to redirect payment of the invoice into a dedicated clearing account opened in your business name. Full ASF supports larger limits; ASFX is faster and keeps the buyer out of the picture.
Does Brookside Dairy have to be involved or agree to anything?
For ASF Express, no — Brookside Dairy is completely out of the picture and does not need to do anything. Only the Full ASF track requires the buyer to agree to redirect payment into your clearing account, and that agreement is not guaranteed. If your buyer prefers not to change how they pay you, ASF Express is the route designed for exactly that situation.
How much can I access, and what does it cost?
ASF Express supports credit lines up to KES 1,500,000, with a daily markup of 0.23%, over a financing period of 7 to 45 days. Full ASF supports larger credit lines up to KES 6,000,000, with a daily markup of 0.17%, over a period of 7 to 60 days tied to the invoice due date. Under both tracks, Avenews advances up to 85% of the verified invoice value.
Who controls the account my payments go through?
Any dedicated account is opened in your own business name, so you keep full visibility and control. You can monitor all activity and timelines through the Avenews portal.
What do I need to qualify as a Brookside Dairy supplier?
You must be a registered B2B mid-stream or down-stream agribusiness supplier (individual smallholder growers do not qualify), with an active trade history of at least 12 months in Kenya. Minimum monthly turnover is KES 1,000,000 for ASF Express and KES 1,500,000 for Full ASF. You'll also need formal business registration, a valid permit (such as a County Permit or sector license), and delivery notes alongside the active Brookside Dairy invoice. Funds must be used for agricultural trade — not for equipment, machinery, vehicles, or other capital expenses.
