The BDO identifies and secures new partnerships, conducts due diligence, enables partner activation, and ensures each partner generates meaningful business through loan applications and repeat usage. The role also provides valuable market intelligence to shape Avenews' commercial strategy.
Responsibilities
● Identify, map, and prioritize potential partners across value chains.
● Build and manage a structured pipeline based on commercial viability.
● Conduct due diligence, collect documentation, and prepare partner onboarding dossiers.
● Develop activation plans and support Sales teams in early commercialization.
● Track partner performance, bottlenecks, and business generation.
● Support partner trainings, field events, demos, and activations.
● Provide market intelligence on value-chain trends, competition, pricing, and behavior.
● Collaborate with BD, Sales, Marketing, Customer Ops, and Product teams to ensure seamless partner lifecycle management.
Requirements
● Diploma or degree in Agribusiness, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
● 2+ years in business development, partnerships, agribusiness, distribution, or microfinance.
● Strong understanding of value chains and partner ecosystems.
● Experience in due diligence, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
● Strong analytical ability and commercial acumen.
● Willingness to travel extensively.
