The Account Manager is responsible for portfolio health, customer satisfaction, and loan utilization post-disbursement. The role supports KYC verification, documentation readiness before disbursement, and owns the full repayment and churn prevention mandate.
Responsibilities
● Conduct pre-disbursement KYC visits to validate customer and business information.
● Ensure documentation completeness and seamless handover for disbursement.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagement post-disbursement.
● Drive repayment follow-up, arrears management, and collections discipline.
● Prevent churn by maintaining active customer engagement and early risk detection.
● Drive renewals, top-ups, and cross-sell opportunities across Avenews’ products.
● Track utilization, repayment trends, and customer behavior to inform interventions.
● Generate accurate reports on portfolio status, risks, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Agribusiness, or related field.
● Minimum 2 years’ experience in account management, credit operations, or SME financing.
● Strong understanding of credit processes and CBK regulatory expectations.
● Proven track record in relationship management and collections.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
